MEET IGNITE 2018 PARTICIPANTS ORGANIZED BY GUZAKUZA

Guzakuza is an organization that  uses agriculture as an entrepreneurial tool to transform the mindsets of young graduates to see the sector as a business and alternative career. Guzakuza was initiated  by Nana Adjoa Sifa Amponsah
The services or products of Guzakuza includes:Ignite, Guzakuza Clubs, Women in Agribusiness Forum and dopal farm

She an Agripreneur,a young woman and a graduate. This automatically makes her part of her target group. Fortunately for her, most of her team members are in this category, so they understand the needs of their target group and have learned how to tackle this issue at the core through innovative interventions.
She is a certified Social Entrepreneur from the International Institute of Social Entrepreneurs(kanthari)and a practicing Agripreneur with hands on experience in food security and strategic management from Africa, Europe and Asia.
In the business world,she has served as a customer and sales personnel at Travel and Tour Worldwide in England and Sifat Communications as Executive Secretary with public sector experience from the National labour commission of Ghana.
She is a member of the Young Professionals for Agricultural Development, Association for Women’s Rights in Development , World Pulse, Alliance of Young Entrepreneurs and a Global Shapers at Ho Hub.
Through Guzakuza,She strongly believe they will use only one sector to curb six of the SDGs.
She want young women to look at her and say, because of you Nana , We didn’t give up.

MEET Ignite 2018 participant, JULIET UDE MANG. 
Juliet Ude-Mang is a team member  at Zowasel. Zowasel is a Nigerian Agtech startup which focuses on Agriculture Communications, Sales and Marketing.
Juliet graduated with a degree in Crop Science at the Federal University of Technology, Owerri, Nigeria.
Her goal is to provide her clients with top notch agricultural solutions. 
Ms. Mang believes Ignite will equip her with  the relevant skills she needs to scale up her Agribusiness. 


MEET IGNITE '18 PARTICIPANT, LYDIA ATENYOSE.

Lydia is an Agribusiness Entrepreneur based in Bolgatanga, Ghana. 
She founded Smile Company Ltd in 2017 with 3 rabbits  and now has over 20 rabbits. Though a year in business, Smile has acquired a land for an organic vegetable farm which she hopes to start
 soon. Lydia joins Ignite 2018 to develop Agribusiness Skills that will help scale her business.


MEET IGNITE'18 PARTICIPANT: DR. OLAJUMOKE, OLAMIPOSI OMOSOWONE.

Olajumoke had her first degree in Fisheries from Lagos State University, Ojo. Her second and third degrees from The Federal University of Technology, Akure. She is a diligent Lecturer and through her dedication, one of her students was able to develop a software for fish feed formulation. She teaches students how to formulate farm made fish feeds at cheaper rates compared to the imported commercial fish feeds.



MEET 2018 IGNITE PARTICIPANT, Muinat Bello.
Muinat is an academician and specialist in Fish Post-harvest Technology. Muinat is passionate about green environment. She has a Patent titled “Hybrid solar dryer” and has won several awards notably, University of Maiduguri, 2012 Staff Development Training Fellowship, Best Paper Presentation Award at the 5th Applied Research Conference in Africa, 2016 in Cape coast, Ghana. She has published peer reviewed articles in reputable journals and contributed papers and abstracts in National and International Conferences.
Muinat is a 2018 Ignite 2018 participant.




MEET 2018 IGNITE PARTICIPANT, MARIAN O. TWUMASI.
Marian is the CEO of Mariseth farms. She is into production of cash crops, cereals and vegetables.
She has cultivated about 185 acres and
300 acres of farm land yet to be cultivated. She has employed 15 permanent workers and over 100 casual workers who are mostly women and youth.
 She has plans to venture into bee farming, snail, cattle, fish
and Oil palm processing factory.






MEET 2018 IGNITE PARTICIPANT OLUWAYOMI ALDER.
Oluwayomi Alder is an agribusiness entrepreneur in Lagos, Nigeria. She runs YP Greenfieldz Limited, a sustainable agriculture and organic waste recycling enterprise. In the last 5 months, her business has recycled more than 3 tonnes of food wastes into nutrient-rich compost.
Oluwayomi graduated from Olabisi Onabanjo University Ogun State Nigeria, with a degree in Agricultural Economics. Her goal is to recycle more agricultural wastes into inputs beneficial to plants and livestocks as well as promote better global environment.
She believes that Ignite 2018 will equip her with skills relevant to her business growth.
